services

Before we touch anything, we listen.

We like to think of ourselves as highly trained computer geeks who have retained just enough of our humanness that highly successful business people like you can actually talk to us. After all, if we start punching keys and changing wires around before making sure we understand your needs, you will never get the the most from your system. So, we start by listening… and learning. Then we apply our knowledge of how computers work to what you have taught us about your business. Our goal is that the result will further your business.

We’re happy to work with you on an hourly basis or a service contract. Here are some of the specific services our contracts typically cover…

System review and analysis:

After we understand how you want your information technology to support your particular business, we'll carefully go through your current configuration and network structure. We'll check to see that everything is up to date, including the addresses for your Internet providers, as well as the user names for the computers in your internal network. We'll make sure your software programs are properly installed and in the right places, examine the "network backbone", and monitor the performance of every component. Finally, we'll recommend any changes that are necessary to give you the optimum performance, consistency and redundancy your business requires.

Installation of hardware and software:

In new and existing systems, we determine what works best for your server room, whether it's a designated area or even a company closet. Once you've considered our recommendations and given us the green light, we'll provide, install and fine-tune your system. As needed, we'll design network-wiring schematics for servers, workstations, and switches and we'll install all station jacks and equipment racks.

Preventative maintenance:

Once a year, we'll clean all your system hardware inside and out, including workstations and printers. We'll suggest any changes to optimize your back-up system, then develop and test a disaster recovery plan to get you going again as quickly as possible. Just in case. We'll also routinely purge, optimize and de-fragment systems and will reload programs whenever necessary.

Help desk support:

We’ll make sure you and anyone else you designate has the means (such as phone, alpha-paging or e-mail) to report problems directly to our technicians right way. Then we’ll work with the end-user either remotely or on site to find the solution.

Computerized asset management:

We’ll build a database to help us track all your computer hardware, thereby ensuring accurate reporting on the status of configurations, software and maintenance tasks. We’ll also propose a replacement plan to help you in budgeting for eventual upgrades of equipment and programs.

Disaster prevention and recovery:

After reviewing your current back-up system, we’ll suggest any changes to optimize it , then will develop and test a disaster recovery plan to get you going again as quickly as possible. Just in case.

Monitoring updates and new technology:

As you know, the speed at which things change in the IT world can make your head spin. We'll keep an eye on the latest changes that so you don't have to, including software updates and patches and advances in hardware technology. Whenever we see something that will give you maximum compliance, efficiency and cost-savings, we'll let you know.
